John Bovée
began his career in politics and government for
Republican causes and candidates in 1979, working for two County
Supervisors and a candidate for Mayor in Kern County,
California. All three won.
Since that time, Mr. Bovée
has been involved in over 300 local,
state and federal campaigns, being on the winning side 86% of
the time. He has served in every capacity of campaign management
ranging from fund-raiser, opposition research director, on-site
coordinator, advance person, press spokesperson, volunteer
recruiter, and political consultant.
In his endeavors, he has worked in various parts of the country
and completed over two hundred corporate and opposition research
projects.
In addition, he has set fund-raising records at both the local
and state levels for Republicans, and has raised money for
non-profit trade associations, 501C4’s, 501C3’s.
From 1985 to 1990, Mr. Bovée
was one of the top Republican
fund-raisers for California Republican State Assembly
candidates. In 1986, he oversaw fund-raising efforts of the top
Republican target in the State Legislature and successfully
defended the seat by raising over a million dollars.
From 1988 to 1995, Mr. Bovée
was the Executive Vice President
for a statewide trade association where he helped set new dues
records for the association in five of seven years. He also
oversaw the activities of their political action committee.
A sought after speaker, Mr. Bovée
is also a published author and
has written numerous articles for national and state
periodicals. He has appeared as a frequent guest on the
television and radio talk show circuit and co-authored a book on
research published by Louisiana State University Press in the
fall of 1999.
Mr. Bovée
is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of California State
University, Bakersfield having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree
in history in 1979. He was also class valedictorian and a member
of Phi Alpha Theta.
He lives in Sacramento with his wife Joanne and their three sons
Connor, Griffin, and Parker.
